Project details
Originally one of the buildings running worldwide affairs of the Royal Navy, the Old Admiralty Building has been used by both the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Department for Education and is currently the London Headquarters of the Department for International Trade.
Scope of work — traditionally built with masonry, concrete and steel frames in 3 phases from around 1900-1912, modernisation of the extensive space required significant structural alteration. Commissioned by our sister-company Deconstruct, we were part of a work package of extensive structural alterations which included the removal of asbestos from within the fabric of the listed structures while introducing significant amounts of new structural openings.
