Hammersmith office block

Decontaminate were commissioned by Overbury to provide licensed asbestos removal services as part of this office block’s overall refurbishment. The delivery of works was carried out as a split phase to ensure coordination with the other trades executing their packages.

Close coordination with the Overbury team and other contractors formed a key part of this project, ensuring that there was suitable awareness of where our works were being undertaken and where exclusion zones were being created.

Asbestos items removed from the block were:

• asbestos insulating board filler panels
• AIB debris to basement store area
• AIB packers
• gaskets to ducting.

A key challenge faced on the project for Decontaminate was the creation of suitable waste transit routes that were efficient whilst also minimising disruption to the other contractors on site.

Restricted access and challenging logistics are typical of the projects we undertake, this project was no different and as a consequence “just-in-time deliveries” were required in order to maintain a clear site and maximise output for the client.
