Prior to the full refurbishment of three adjoining Grade II listed properties, Decontaminate were appointed by City Square Ltd to remove all asbestos-containing materials that had been identified during the refurbishment survey.
The works consisted mainly of the removal of asbestos insulation board and associated asbestos debris from within the floor voids throughout the properties.
Materials removed:
asbestos insulation board panels
asbestos insulation board debris
asbestos rope
asbestos cement.
Project constraints
protection of listed ceilings within the buildings
restricted access means that waste had to be safely held on-site and collected on a wait-and-load basis.
